DUBAI CHOCOLATE CINNAMON rolls with homemade pistachio cream

That sounds absolutely divine! A combination of the rich flavors of chocolate, cinnamon, and pistachio cream would be irresistible. Here’s a recipe idea for Dubai Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls with Homemade Pistachio Cream:

Ingredients:

For the Rolls:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk)

For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Homemade Pistachio Cream:

  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios (unsalted)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (adjust for consistency)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk (adjust consistency)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Make the Dough:

  • In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and cinnamon. Add the yeast mixture, softened butter, and egg. Mix everything until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise for 1-1.5 hours or until it doubles in size.

2. Prepare the Filling:

  • In a bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (about 12×9 inches).
  • Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.
  • Scatter the chocolate chips across the dough.

3. Roll and Slice:

  • Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
  • Slice the rolled dough into 8-10 rolls and place them in a greased baking dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).

4. Bake the Rolls:

  • Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

5. Make the Pistachio Cream:

  • In a food processor, combine the shelled pistachios, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Slowly add the heavy cream a little at a time, until you get a creamy consistency (adjust the amount of cream as needed).

6. Prepare the Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to create a smooth glaze. Adjust the consistency as needed.

7. Assemble the Rolls:

  • Drizzle the warm cinnamon rolls with the glaze.
  • Spoon or pipe a generous amount of homemade pistachio cream on top of each roll.

8. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve the rolls warm for the ultimate indulgence.
