Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts is a delicious recipe that features crispy fried chicken breasts coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. Here’s a basic recipe to guide you through making this mouthwatering dish:

Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (you can use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Chicken:

  1. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Dip the chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Press the chicken into the breadcrumbs, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Press gently to adhere the breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the breaded chicken on a plate and let it rest while you prepare the sauce.

2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth to create a slurry.
  3. Add the slurry to the saucepan and stir until well combined.
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  5. Allow the sauce to cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Remove the sauce from heat and set aside.

3. Fry the Chicken:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully add the breaded chicken breasts to the hot oil, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
  3. Fry the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  4. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

4. Coat the Chicken with Honey Garlic Sauce:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, toss the fried chicken breasts with the prepared honey garlic sauce until evenly coated.
  2. Make sure the chicken is well coated in the sauce.
  3. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.

5. Serve:

  1. Serve the Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts hot, accompanied by your favorite sides like rice, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
  2. Enjoy your delicious meal!

This recipe offers a perfect balance of crispy chicken and flavorful honey garlic sauce, making it a favorite for both family dinners and gatherings with friends.
