Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna:

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce or your favorite pasta sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meat (Optional):
    • In a skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain the excess fat.
  2. Mix the Sauces:
    • In a bowl, combine the marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. If you cooked the meat, stir it into the sauce mixture.
  3. Layer in the Crockpot:
    • Spread a thin layer of the sauce mixture at the bottom of the crockpot.
    • Add a layer of frozen ravioli on top of the sauce.
    • Spread a layer of ricotta cheese over the ravioli.
    • Sprinkle some mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
    • Repeat these layers (sauce, ravioli, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan) until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce and a generous topping of mozzarella and Parmesan.
  4. Cook:
    • Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or on HIGH for 2-3 hours. The ravioli should be tender and the cheese melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
