Here’s a delicious recipe for Crispy Greek Chicken Tenders — juicy inside, golden and crunchy outside, with bright Mediterranean flavors.


Crispy Greek Chicken Tenders

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 ½ lbs (about 680g) chicken tenders (or chicken breasts cut into strips)

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tbsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup regular breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken

    • In a large bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    • Add chicken tenders, toss to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).

  2. Prepare coating

    • In a shallow dish, mix panko, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan.

  3. Coat the chicken

    • Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off.

    • Dredge each tender in breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently so it sticks.

  4. Cook

    • Oven method: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place tenders on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spray lightly with oil, and bake 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.

    • Air fryer method: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

    • Pan-fry method: Heat 3–4 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook tenders 3–4 minutes per side until crispy and fully cooked.

  5. Serve

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

    • Serve with tzatziki, hummus, or a Greek salad.
