Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

Here’s a delicious and creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta recipe that’s perfect for a cozy dinner:


🦐 Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

🍝 Ingredients:

For the pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine (or pasta of choice)

  • Salt (for boiling water)

For the shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: ½ tsp paprika or red pepper flakes (for a little kick)

For the Alfredo sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (or more minced garlic if you prefer)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: ¼ cup pasta water (to thin the sauce if needed)

Toppings:

  • Fresh chopped parsley

  • Extra Parmesan


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

  • Reserve ¼ cup of the pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Shrimp:

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and butter.

  • Add shrimp in a single layer, season with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using).

  • Sauté 1-2 minutes per side, until shrimp are pink and opaque.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds more.

  • Remove shrimp from pan and set aside.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.

  • Stir in the heavy cream and garlic powder (or fresh garlic).

  • Bring to a simmer (not boil), then stir in the Parmesan cheese.

  • Continue stirring until sauce is smooth and creamy.

  • Add a bit of reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Combine:

  • Add cooked pasta and shrimp into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce.

  • Toss gently to coat everything evenly in the sauce.

  • Simmer for 1–2 minutes so flavors combine.

5. Serve:

  • Plate pasta and top with fresh parsley and more Parmesan.

  • Serve immediately!
