Creamy Salsa Taco Spaghetti Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 jar (about 16 oz) of your favorite salsa
- 8 oz (about 225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (120ml) sour cream
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 8 oz (about 225g) spaghetti, cooked according to package instructions
- 1 1/2 cups (about 170g) shredded Mexican blend cheese
- Optional toppings: sliced green onions, chopped fresh cilantro, diced avocado, sour cream
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning mix and cook according to package instructions.
- Add the salsa, cream cheese, sour cream, and diced tomatoes with green chilies to the skillet. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is well combined.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss until it is evenly coated with the sauce mixture.
- Transfer the spaghetti mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the spaghetti mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to lightly brown the cheese.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot, topped with your favorite optional toppings such as sliced green onions, chopped fresh cilantro, diced avocado, and sour cream.
