Creamy Garlic Sauce for Pizza

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for a creamy garlic sauce that you can use for pizza:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

Instructions:

  1. Melt Butter and Olive Oil: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add Heavy Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir frequently to prevent it from burning at the bottom.
  4. Season: Add the salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using). Stir to combine.
  5. Thicken Sauce: Allow the sauce to simmer for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. If you want a thicker consistency, you can cook it longer, but be careful not to let it over-reduce.
  6. Add Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cream cheese (if using), continuing to cook for another minute or so until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  7. Adjust Consistency: If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it out by adding a little bit of milk or water.
  8. Cool Slightly: Allow the sauce to cool slightly before spreading it on your pizza dough.
  9. Serve: Spread the creamy garlic sauce on your pizza base instead of traditional pizza sauce and top with your favorite ingredients!
