Creamy Cajun Steak Alfredo

Posted on December 4, 2024 by admin
Here’s a delicious recipe for Creamy Cajun Steak Alfredo that combines tender steak, a rich and creamy Alfredo sauce, and a flavorful Cajun kick!

Ingredients:

For the Steak:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • Salt (for pasta water)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Steak:

  1. Season the steak: Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil and Cajun seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the steak: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side (for medium-rare), or longer if you prefer your steak cooked more. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.

2. Cook the Pasta:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving a little pasta water for later if needed.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet you used to cook the steak, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the cream thickens slightly.
  3. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  4. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little pasta water to reach the desired consistency.

4. Combine:

  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.
  2. Add the sliced steak on top of the pasta and gently toss to combine everything.

5. Serve:

  1. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Cajun seasoning or Parmesan cheese if desired.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy your creamy, flavorful Cajun Steak Alfredo!

This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or some garlic bread on the side. Enjoy!
