Creamy Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Creamy Brussels Sprouts with Bacon is a delicious and satisfying dish that combines the nutty flavor of Brussels sprouts with the rich creaminess of a sauce and the smoky goodness of bacon. Here’s a simple recipe to make it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until it becomes crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the bacon drippings and cook until it becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet and cook them with the onions and garlic, stirring occasionally, until they become tender and slightly browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Once the Brussels sprouts are cooked, pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow the cream to simmer gently over medium-low heat for 3-4 minutes, until it thickens slightly and coats the Brussels sprouts.
  5. Season the creamy Brussels sprouts with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the cooked bacon pieces.
  6. Transfer the creamy Brussels sprouts with bacon to a serving dish. If desired, garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley before serving.
  7. Serve hot as a delicious side dish alongside your favorite main course.
