Here’s a recipe for a delicious Creamy Bacon Cheese Ball:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 6 slices)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional for rolling)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, parsley, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
    • Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed and the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  2. Form the Cheese Ball:
    • Shape the cheese mixture into a ball. You can use plastic wrap to help shape it if the mixture is sticky.
    • If you like, roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans for added texture and flavor.
  3. Chill:
    • Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or until firm. This allows the flavors to meld and makes the cheese ball easier to handle.
  4. Serve:
    • Before serving, let the cheese ball sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes to soften slightly.
    • Serve with crackers, pretzels, or fresh veggies for dipping.

Tips:

  • You can make the cheese ball a day in advance and keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to serve.
  • Feel free to customize the recipe by adding other ingredients like chopped jalapeƱos, sun-dried tomatoes, or different herbs.
