Here’s a classic Cream Cheese Cake recipe (also known as New York-style cheesecake). It’s rich, creamy, and simple to make:


🧀 Classic Cream Cheese Cake Recipe (New York Cheesecake)

Ingredients:

For the crust:
  • 1½ cups (150g) graham cracker crumbs (or digestive biscuits, crushed)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 6 tbsp (85g) unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:
  • 4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened (total: 32 oz / 900g)

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 large eggs

  • â…” cup (160ml) sour cream

  • â…” cup (160ml) heavy cream

Optional Toppings:
  • Fresh berries

  • Fruit compote

  • Whipped cream

  • Chocolate or caramel drizzle


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch (23cm) springform pan.

  2. Make the crust:

    • Combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.

    • Press mixture into the bottom of the pan (and slightly up the sides if desired).

    • Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.

  3. Prepare the filling:

    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

    • Add the sugar and vanilla, and beat until well combined.

    • Add eggs, one at a time, mixing just until combined after each.

    • Stir in sour cream and heavy cream until smooth (don’t overmix).

  4. Assemble and bake:

    • Pour filling over the cooled crust.

    • Optional: Wrap the pan with foil and bake in a water bath for even cooking and to prevent cracking.

    • Bake for 60–70 minutes, until the edges are set and the center slightly jiggles.

  5. Cool:

    • Turn off oven, crack door, and let the cake cool inside for 1 hour.

    • Remove and let cool completely at room temp.

    • Refrigerate at least 4 hours (preferably overnight).

  6. Serve:

    • Remove from springform pan.

    • Add desired toppings before serving.
