Crack Chicken Macaroni and Cheese

Here’s a recipe for Crack Chicken Macaroni and Cheese, a delicious combination of creamy, cheesy pasta with the savory flavors of crack chicken.

Ingredients

  • For the Chicken:
    • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
    • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
    • 1 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
  • For the Macaroni and Cheese:
    • 1 lb elbow macaroni (or any pasta of your choice)
    • 4 tablespoons butter
    • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 3 cups milk
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until slightly golden, creating a roux.
    • Slowly add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken, about 5-7 minutes.
    • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Monterey Jack cheeses until melted and smooth.
    • Season the cheese sauce with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Adjust to taste.
  3. Combine:
    • Stir the cooked, shredded chicken and crumbled bacon into the cheese sauce. Add the ranch seasoning mix and mix well.
    • Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and stir until the pasta is fully coated.
  4. Serve:
    • Transfer the macaroni and cheese to a serving dish. If desired, sprinkle extra cheese and bacon on top.
    • Serve hot and enjoy!
