Posted on April 16, 2024January 11, 2025 by admin

Crack Chicken Casserole is a popular dish that combines the flavors of chicken, bacon, cheese, and ranch seasoning into one delicious and comforting meal. Here’s a basic recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, ranch dressing, sour cream, chopped green onions (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. If desired, sprinkle crushed crackers or breadcrumbs over the top of the casserole for added crunch.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted and slightly golden brown on top.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with additional chopped green onions, if desired, and serve hot.

This dish is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a potluck gathering. Feel free to customize it with your favorite ingredients or add some veggies like diced bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition. Enjoy!
