Sure, here’s a simple recipe for Chicken Yakisoba, a popular Japanese stir-fried noodle dish. Adjust the quantities based on your preferences and the number of servings you need.

Ingredients:

  • 200g Yakisoba noodles (or any other stir-fry noodles)
  • 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup thinly sliced cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Yakisoba Noodles:
    • Cook the Yakisoba noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, sugar, and water. Set aside.
  3. Cook Chicken:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
    • Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the cooked chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. Cook Vegetables:
    • In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Add sliced onion, cabbage, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  5. Combine Everything:
    • Add the cooked chicken back to the pan with the vegetables.
    • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Toss everything together to coat evenly.
  6. Add Noodles:
    • Add the cooked Yakisoba noodles to the pan. Use chopsticks or tongs to mix everything well, ensuring the noodles are coated with the sauce and are well combined with the chicken and vegetables.
  7. Finish and Serve:
    • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
    • Adjust the seasoning if needed and serve the Chicken Yakisoba hot.
    • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Enjoy your homemade Chicken Yakisoba!
