Cheesy Pull Apart Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of bread (sourdough or Italian bread works well)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Bread:
- Place the loaf of bread on a cutting board.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the bread in a criss-cross pattern (1-inch squares), making sure not to cut all the way through the bottom. Leave the bottom intact to hold the loaf together.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
- In a medium bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses.
- Prepare the Butter Mixture:
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and chives. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Stuff the Bread:
- Carefully stuff the cheese mixture into the cuts of the bread, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
- Drizzle the butter mixture over the top of the bread, making sure it seeps into the cuts.
- Wrap and Bake:
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
- Unwrap and Crisp:
- Carefully unwrap the foil to expose the top of the bread.
- Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and crispy.
- Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Enjoy your cheesy pull apart bread warm, straight from the loaf!
Tips:
- You can customize this recipe by adding cooked bacon bits, diced jalapeños, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
- If you like it extra cheesy, add more cheese according to your preference.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
Enjoy your delicious cheesy pull apart bread!
