Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Meatloaf

Here’s a recipe for a Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Meatloaf that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork for added flavor)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional, for freshness)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Prepare the meat mixture:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella, milk, egg, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
    • Use your hands or a spoon to mix until well combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat, as that can make the meatloaf tough.
  3. Shape the meatloaf:

    • Transfer the meat mixture into a lightly greased loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet.
  4. Top with marinara sauce:

    • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf for a nice glaze and extra flavor.
  5. Bake the meatloaf:

    • Place the meatloaf in the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Rest and serve:

    • Once the meatloaf is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
    • Garnish with a little extra chopped parsley if desired.

Tips:

  • For an extra cheesy version, you can stuff the meatloaf with mozzarella cheese before baking.
  • If you want to make it spicier, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mix.
