Cheesey garlic bread

Cheesy garlic bread is a delicious and indulgent side dish or snack that’s perfect for sharing. Here’s a simple recipe to make cheesy garlic bread:

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread or French bread
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of bread in half horizontally, creating two long pieces. You can also slice it into individual pieces if you prefer smaller servings.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the buttered bread. Make sure to cover it all the way to the edges.
  6. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella.
  7. Season the top with a pinch of salt and a dash of black pepper if desired.
  8. Place the bread halves (or individual slices) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are slightly crispy.
  10. If you like your cheesy garlic bread with a little extra browning on top, you can switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes, but be careful not to burn it.
  11. Remove the cheesy garlic bread from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two before slicing.
  12. Slice the cheesy garlic bread into individual servings and serve it hot.
