Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Pasta

Here’s a delicious Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Pasta recipe for you:

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound Andouille sausage, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the linguine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and Andouille sausage to the skillet and cook until the shrimp is pink and cooked through, and the sausage is browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and sausage from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add diced onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Add paprika, salt, and black pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
  7. Add the cooked linguine pasta, shrimp, and sausage back into the skillet, tossing everything together until evenly coated in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat everything through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Pasta!
