Here’s a Billion Dollar Buttery Biscuits recipe — rich, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth good!

Billion Dollar Buttery Biscuits

🧈 Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed

  • 1 cup buttermilk, cold

  • ¼ cup sour cream (adds richness)

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)

🥣 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Grease or line a baking sheet.

  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and baking soda.

  3. Cut in butter: Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut it into the flour until the mix resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Add liquids: Stir in cold buttermilk and sour cream until just combined — do not overmix.

  5. Fold & layer (optional for flakiness):

    • Turn dough onto a floured surface.

    • Gently pat into a rectangle.

    • Fold like a letter, turn 90°, and repeat 2–3 times. Then flatten to 1-inch thickness.

  6. Cut biscuits: Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out rounds. Place them touching on the baking sheet for soft sides or spaced apart for crispier edges.

  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden on top.

  8. Brush with melted butter immediately after baking for that “billion-dollar” glossy, buttery finish.
