Lasagna roll-ups are a delicious twist on traditional lasagna, offering individual servings and a fun presentation. Here’s a tasty recipe to try:

Ingredients:

For the roll-ups:

  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

For the topping:

  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Noodles: Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain them and lay them out flat on a clean surface.
  3. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Assemble Roll-Ups: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over each lasagna noodle. Spoon some of the cheese mixture onto each noodle and spread it evenly. Roll up each noodle tightly.
  5. Layer in Baking Dish: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place the lasagna roll-ups seam side down in the dish.
  6. Add Topping: Spoon additional marinara sauce over the top of the roll-ups. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Remove the foil and garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.
  9. Enjoy: Serve the lasagna roll-ups hot, with a side salad or garlic bread if desired.
