Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice

Here’s a flavorful and spicy Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice recipe — combining crispy chicken bites, creamy-spicy bang bang sauce, and savory fried rice. Perfect for a weeknight meal or quick lunch!


🔥 Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice

🧄 Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Oil for frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar (optional, for sweetness)

For the Fried Rice:

  • 3 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old, cold rice)

  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 cup frozen mixed veggies (peas, carrots, corn, etc.)

  • 2–3 green onions, sliced

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

  • 1 tsp garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp ginger, minced


🍳 Instructions:

1. Make the Bang Bang Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth. Set aside.

2. Cook the Chicken:

  • Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry chicken until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  • Once slightly cooled, toss fried chicken in the bang bang sauce until coated.

3. Cook the Fried Rice:

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tbsp oil. Scramble the eggs and set aside.

  • Add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds.

  • Add veggies and cook until heated through.

  • Add rice, breaking up clumps. Stir-fry 2–3 minutes.

  • Add soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir well. Return scrambled eggs to the pan and toss everything together.

4. Assemble:
Top the fried rice with bang bang chicken. Garnish with sliced green onions and extra chili sauce if desired.
