🍐 Baked Pears with Cream Cheese and Walnut Topping

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe but firm pears (like Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored

  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (plus more for drizzling)

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (toasted for extra flavor)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: raisins or dried cranberries, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish with parchment or lightly grease it.

  2. Prepare the filling:
    In a bowl, mix cream cheese, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Stir in the chopped walnuts.

  3. Prepare the pears:
    Halve the pears lengthwise and scoop out the core with a spoon or melon baller to create a small well.

  4. Stuff the pears:
    Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the well of each pear half.

  5. Bake:
    Place stuffed pears in the baking dish. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until pears are tender but still hold their shape.

  6. Serve warm:
    Drizzle with extra honey or maple syrup. Garnish with more walnuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. Optional: Add raisins or cranberries on top for a festive touch.
