🍝 Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz spaghetti

  • 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)

  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

  • ¼ cup sour cream (optional for extra creaminess)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain fat if necessary.

  4. Add marinara sauce to the meat and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

  5. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream (if using), garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until smooth.

  6. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the cream cheese mixture until evenly coated.

  7. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer:

    • Half of the cream cheese-coated spaghetti

    • Half of the meat sauce

    • Repeat layers

  8. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.

  9. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.

  10. Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with chopped herbs if desired, and dig in!
