Bacon Mushroom Pork Chops

Posted on February 8, 2024March 18, 2024 by admin

Bacon mushroom pork chops are a delicious and hearty dish that combines the savory flavors of bacon and mushrooms with tender pork chops. Here’s a simple recipe to make bacon mushroom pork chops:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 8 ounces of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the pork chops and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are tender.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and cooked bacon. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  8. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over the top.
  9. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the pork chops are heated through and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, before serving.

Serve the bacon mushroom pork chops hot with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables. Enjoy!
