Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Cups

Posted on February 28, 2024

Bacon cheeseburger tater tot cups are a delicious and creative twist on traditional cheeseburgers. They’re essentially mini cheeseburger bites encased in crispy tater tot cups. Here’s a simple recipe to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 package frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: ketchup, mustard, diced onions, pickles, etc.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the tater tot package.
  2. Prepare the tater tot cups: Place tater tots into a muffin tin, pressing them into the bottom and up the sides to create cups. Bake according to the package instructions until they are slightly crispy.
  3. Cook the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain excess fat.
  4. Assemble the cups: Once the tater tot cups are baked, remove them from the oven. Fill each cup with cooked ground beef, then top with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  5. Bake again: Place the muffin tin back in the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Remove the tater tot cups from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Carefully remove them from the muffin tin and transfer to a serving platter. Serve with optional toppings like ketchup, mustard, diced onions, pickles, etc.

Enjoy your delicious bacon cheeseburger tater tot cups as a fun appetizer or snack!
