Sure, here’s a delicious recipe for apple pie French toast rolls:

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 2 large apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions:

Apple Pie Filling:

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool.

French Toast Rolls:

  1. Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin to make it thinner and easier to roll.
  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese onto each slice of bread.
  3. Spoon a tablespoon of the apple pie filling onto one end of each bread slice.
  4. Roll up each slice tightly, starting from the end with the filling.
  5. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  6. Dip each roll into the egg mixture, coating it evenly.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  8. Place the rolls seam-side down onto the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  9. Remove from the skillet and let them cool slightly before serving.
  10. Serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top.

Enjoy your delicious apple pie French toast rolls!
