Sure, here’s a delicious recipe for Apple Pie Bread:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup diced apples (peeled and cored)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

For the streusel topping:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, diced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the applesauce. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the diced apples and nuts, if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the streusel topping. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  9. Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the batter in the loaf pan.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
