Air Fryer Pork Chops

Air frying pork chops is a quick and easy way to achieve a crispy and flavorful dish without using a lot of oil. Here’s a simple recipe for air fryer pork chops:

Ingredients:

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Pork Chops:
    • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
    • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
  3. Season the Pork Chops:
    • Rub the spice mixture over both sides of the pork chops, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Place in the Air Fryer:
    • Arrange the pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them for even cooking.
  5. Cooking:
    • Cook the pork chops in the preheated air fryer for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
    • Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops and the specific model of your air fryer. It’s always a good idea to check the internal temperature. Pork should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Check for Doneness:
    • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. If they haven’t reached 145°F, continue cooking in 2-3 minute increments until they do.
  7. Rest and Serve:
    • Allow the pork chops to rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps retain juices and ensures a juicy interior.
  8. Serve:
    • Serve the air fryer pork chops with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
