Air fryer Broccoli cheese Bites

Air fryer broccoli cheese bites are a delicious and healthy snack or side dish that’s easy to make. They are crispy on the outside and cheesy and tender on the inside. Here’s how to make them:Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, steamed and finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (use almond flour for a keto version)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for the air fryer basket

Instructions:

  1. Start by steaming the fresh broccoli florets until they are tender. You can do this by microwaving them with a bit of water for a few minutes or steaming them on the stovetop. Once steamed, finely chop the broccoli.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs (or almond flour for a keto version), eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything well to form a dough-like mixture.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small bite-sized balls or patties, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  5. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the broccoli cheese bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each one.
  7. Air fry the bites at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  8. Check the bites halfway through the cooking time and flip them to ensure even cooking.
  9. Once done, carefully remove the broccoli cheese bites from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Serve your air fryer broccoli cheese bites with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or marinara sauce.
