air fryer breaded chicken

Here’s a crispy, juicy, air fryer breaded chicken recipe that’s easy and delicious — perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.


✅ Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs if preferred)

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional for extra flavor)

  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray


🍗 Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken

    • Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally if thick (to create cutlets).

    • Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. Set Up Breading Station

    • Bowl 1: Flour + salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika.

    • Bowl 2: Beaten eggs.

    • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs.

  3. Bread the Chicken

    • Dredge chicken in flour (shake off excess).

    • Dip into eggs (coat fully).

    • Press into breadcrumbs (pat to stick well).

  4. Air Fry

    • Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.

    • Spray both sides of the chicken with olive oil spray.

    • Place in air fryer basket in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).

    • Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
      Chicken is done when internal temp hits 165°F (74°C).

  5. Optional:
    For extra crispiness, spray again lightly halfway through cooking.
