Crescent and Chicken Roll-ups

Here’s a simple and delicious Crescent and Chicken Roll-Ups recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 ½ cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream (for serving)
  • ½ cup salsa (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
    • In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and green onions (if using). Mix until well blended.
  3. Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
    • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
    • Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
    • Roll up each crescent starting from the wide end and rolling toward the tip, encasing the chicken mixture inside.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the filled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter.
    • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Serve warm with sour cream and salsa on the side for dipping.

Tips:

  • You can customize the filling with different cheeses or add a bit of spice with jalapeños or a pinch of chili powder.
  • This recipe pairs well with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
