Marinated Beef Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

For the Steak:

  • 2 pounds beef steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your preferred cut)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    • In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar. Mix well.
    • Add minced garlic, black pepper, onion powder, dried rosemary, dried thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Marinate the Steak:
    • Place the steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it is well coated.
    • Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  3. Cook the Steak:
    • Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps the steak cook more evenly.
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat on the stovetop.
    • Remove the steak from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels. Discard the marinade.
    • Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
    • Grill or sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
    • Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
  4. Serve:
    • Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your favorite sides. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Enjoy your delicious marinated beef steak!
