Cheese Bread

Certainly! Here’s a simple recipe for cheese bread:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any cheese of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Optional Additions:

  • 1/4 cup chopped herbs (such as parsley or chives)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the grated cheese to the dry ingredients and mix until evenly distributed.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter or oil, milk, and egg until well combined.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  6. If using, fold in any optional additions such as chopped herbs, garlic powder, or onion powder.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, remove the cheese bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  10. After cooling slightly, transfer the cheese bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
