Crescent Cheese Danishes

Posted on April 5, 2024 by admin

Crescent cheese danishes are delicious pastries made by filling crescent roll dough with a sweetened cream cheese mixture. Here’s a simple recipe to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tubes (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place the triangles onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spoon a tablespoon or so of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  5. Roll up each crescent triangle, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the tip. Shape them into crescent shapes and place them on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops of the danishes with melted butter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on a wire rack.
  9. Optional: Dust the danishes with powdered sugar before serving.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious crescent cheese danishes!

These danishes are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet treat any time of day. Feel free to customize them by adding fruit preserves, nuts, or spices to the cream cheese mixture for added flavor variation.
