Cinnamon Roll Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting is a delightful twist on classic cinnamon rolls, offering all the flavors you love in an easier-to-make cake form. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Then, gradually add in the melted butter while whisking continuously.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. In a separate small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to create the cinnamon swirl mixture.
  6. Spread half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan. Then, evenly distribute the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cake batter on top of the cinnamon swirl layer. Use a knife to gently swirl the batter and cinnamon mixture together.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. While the cake is baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until creamy and well combined.
  10. Once the cake is baked and cooled slightly, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
  11. Serve slices of the cinnamon roll cake warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
