DILL PICKLE SALTINES

Posted on March 6, 2024 by admin

Here’s a simple recipe for making dill pickle saltines:

Ingredients:

  • 1 sleeve of saltine crackers (about 40-50 crackers)
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle juice
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper for a spicy kick

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the dill pickle juice, melted butter or olive oil, dried dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
  4. Using a pastry brush or spoon, evenly coat each saltine cracker with the dill pickle mixture. Make sure each cracker is coated on both sides.
  5. Bake the crackers in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are crispy and the seasoning has dried.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the crackers to cool completely before serving.
  7. Once cooled, transfer the dill pickle saltines to an airtight container for storage. They can be kept at room temperature for several days.

Enjoy your homemade dill pickle saltines as a tasty snack or appetizer!
