Posted on March 1, 2024 by admin

Hibachi steak bites with fried rice is a delicious and satisfying dish that combines tender steak pieces cooked with traditional hibachi flavors and served alongside flavorful fried rice. Here’s a simple recipe to make it at home:

Ingredients:

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

For the Fried Rice:

  • 3 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as peas, carrots, and corn)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

For the Steak Bites:

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the steak pieces to the bowl and toss until evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak pieces and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

For the Fried Rice:

  1. Heat sesame oil in the same skillet or wok over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and cook until they are tender.
  3. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and pour the beaten eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until cooked through.
  4. Mix the scrambled eggs with the vegetables in the skillet.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir well to combine with the vegetables and eggs.
  6. Pour soy sauce over the rice mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fried rice is heated through.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.
  8. Garnish the fried rice with chopped green onions if desired.

Serve the hibachi steak bites alongside the fried rice and enjoy your delicious homemade meal!
