Dragon fruit smoothie

Posted on February 4, 2024 by admin

Certainly! Dragon fruit, also known as pitaya, can be a delicious and nutritious addition to a smoothie. Here’s a simple recipe for a refreshing dragon fruit smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup diced dragon fruit (either white or red flesh)
  • 1 banana (frozen for a thicker consistency)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or your choice of yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)

Instructions:

  1. Peel the dragon fruit and cut it into small cubes.
  2. If you prefer a colder smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.
  3. Add the diced dragon fruit, banana, Greek yogurt, coconut water, pineapple chunks, and honey (if using) to the blender.
  4. Blend everything until smooth and creamy. If the consistency is too thick, you can add more coconut water or regular water to reach your desired thickness.
  5. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey or agave syrup.
  6. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy!

Feel free to customize this recipe by adding other fruits, such as berries or mango, or incorporating greens like spinach or kale for added nutrients. Enjoy your refreshing dragon fruit smoothie!
