CHICKEN CHOW MEIN RECIPE

Certainly! Here’s a simple Chicken Chow Mein recipe for you:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) chow mein noodles
  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside.
  4. In the same wok, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add garlic and ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, and bean sprouts to the wok. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back to the wok along with the green onions.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
  8. Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the wok and toss until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce and mixed with the chicken and vegetables.
  9. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot, garnished with additional sliced green onions if desired.
