Certainly! Here’s a simple recipe for Open-Face Garlic Toast Sloppy Joes:

Ingredients:

For Sloppy Joes:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Garlic Toast:

  • Slices of your favorite bread
  • Butter
  • Garlic powder
  • Parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the pepper is softened.
  4. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the mixture to thicken.
  5. While the Sloppy Joes are simmering, prepare the garlic toast. Toast slices of bread and spread butter on each slice. Sprinkle with garlic powder to taste.
  6. Once the Sloppy Joe mixture is ready, spoon it generously over the garlic toast.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
