HAMBURGER MUSHROOM BAKE

Certainly! Here’s a simple recipe for a Hamburger Mushroom Bake:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onions are softened.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender.
  5. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Optional: Spoon dollops of sour cream over the top and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
