🐟 Baked Salmon with Lemon Dijon Sauce

🧾 Ingredients:

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skin-on or skinless

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 lemon (sliced for garnish, optional)

For the Lemon Dijon Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or olive oil)

  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or dill (optional, for garnish)


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

  2. Prepare salmon:

    • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.

    • Place them on the prepared baking sheet.

    • Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Make the Lemon Dijon Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, zest, garlic, melted butter, and honey.

    • Taste and adjust with salt and pepper.

  4. Coat the salmon:

    • Spoon the sauce evenly over the top of each fillet.

  5. Bake:

    • Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon, or until it flakes easily with a fork.

    • (Internal temp should be 125–130°F for medium.)

  6. Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices if desired.

    • Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or roasted potatoes.
