Here’s a Cajun Shrimp Alfredo Pasta Bake recipe that’s creamy, cheesy, spicy, and perfect for a comforting dinner. It combines the bold flavors of Cajun seasoning with tender shrimp and a rich Alfredo sauce, all baked to bubbly perfection.

🧂 Ingredients

For the Pasta Bake:

  • 12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (more to taste)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 ½ cups grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1 cup baby spinach

  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms

  • Crushed red pepper flakes (for extra heat)


🔪 Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Shrimp

  • Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until soft (about 3–4 minutes).

  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  • Stir in heavy cream and milk. Bring to a simmer.

  • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

  • Season with salt, pepper, and extra Cajun seasoning to taste.

4. Combine Everything

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a large bowl or baking dish, mix cooked pasta, Alfredo sauce, half the mozzarella, and shrimp (add spinach or mushrooms if using).

  • Pour into a greased 9×13″ baking dish.

  • Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.

5. Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

  • Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for extra browning if desired.

6. Serve

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
