Ultimate Double Cheeseburger Pizza Stack — it’s exactly as indulgent and awesome as it sounds. This over-the-top mashup combines the juicy, cheesy goodness of a double cheeseburger with the crispy, saucy richness of a pizza — and then stacks it. Here’s how you can make your own at home.


🔥 What Is It?

A multi-layered creation featuring:

  • Two crispy pizzas (acting as burger “buns”)

  • Double-stacked cheeseburger patties

  • Classic burger toppings

  • Gooey melted cheese

  • A blend of pizza and burger sauces


🍔 Ingredients

For the Pizzas (makes 2 thin 10-inch pizzas):

  • 2 store-bought pizza doughs or crusts

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

  • Optional: pepperoni, mushrooms, etc. (go light — this is just the bun)

For the Cheeseburger Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)

  • Salt & pepper

  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese

Toppings (customize as you like):

  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced

  • 1/2 cup caramelized or grilled onions

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Sliced tomatoes

  • Bacon (optional)

  • Special sauce (see below)


🍔 Special Sauce (Burger-Pizza Hybrid)

Mix together:

  • 1/4 cup mayo

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp mustard

  • 1 tsp pickle juice

  • 1 tsp finely chopped pickles

  • Pinch of paprika


🔧 Assembly Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven & Cook Pizzas:

    • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

    • Roll out pizza dough thin, add light sauce and cheese, and bake until crisp (~10 min).

    • Let cool slightly — these are your “buns.”

  2. Cook Burger Patties:

    • Form 2 large flat patties (about 5-inch diameter).

    • Season with salt & pepper, sear in a skillet or on a griddle until browned and cooked through.

    • Add cheese slices on top to melt.

  3. Layer the Stack:

    • Start with one pizza as the base.

    • Spread some special sauce on the crust.

    • Add shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

    • Place first cheeseburger patty.

    • Add caramelized onions and optional bacon.

    • Place second patty, then more sauce and toppings.

    • Top with second pizza.

  4. Secure & Heat (Optional):

    • Use skewers or long toothpicks to hold the stack.

    • Pop the whole stack back in the oven for 3–5 min to reheat and melt everything together.

  5. Slice Like a Cake:

    • Cut into quarters like a deep-dish pizza or burger pie.
