Posted on August 24, 2025 by admin

Here’s a delicious and easy No-Bake German Chocolate Pie recipe that combines the classic flavors of German chocolate cake—rich chocolate, coconut, and pecans—into a creamy, no-fuss pie.

🥧 No-Bake German Chocolate Pie

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or chocolate cookie crumbs)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:

  • 1 (4 oz) bar German’s sweet chocolate (or semi-sweet chocolate), chopped

  • ½ cup whole milk

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

For the topping:

  • ¾ cup sweetened shredded coconut

  • ½ cup chopped pecans

  • ½ cup evaporated milk

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Make the crust:

  • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.

  • Press mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.

  • Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to set.

2. Prepare the filling:

  • In a small saucepan, combine chopped chocolate and milk over low heat. Stir constantly until melted and smooth.

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.

  • Gradually beat in the melted chocolate mixture until combined.

  • Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.

  • Spread the filling into the chilled crust and smooth the top.

  • Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

3. Make the topping:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar, butter, and a pinch of salt.

  • Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a gentle boil.

  • Remove from heat and stir in coconut, pecans, and vanilla.

  • Cool mixture slightly before spreading it evenly over the chilled pie.

4. Chill and serve:

  • Return the pie to the fridge for another 30 minutes or until the topping is set.

  • Slice and serve chilled.
