Here’s a delicious Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham Bake recipe that’s sweet, sticky, and perfect for holidays or Sunday dinner:
🍍 Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham Bake
Ingredients:
-
1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 6–8 lbs)
-
1 cup brown sugar, packed
-
1/2 cup honey (or maple syrup)
-
1/4 cup Dijon mustard (optional, for tang)
-
1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices, juice reserved
-
1/2 cup pineapple juice (from can)
-
Whole cloves (optional, for studding ham)
Instructions:
-
Prep the Ham – Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Place ham in a large roasting pan, flat side down. Score the top fat in a crisscross pattern. If desired, stud with whole cloves.
-
Make the Glaze – In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and pineapple juice. Simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
-
Arrange Pineapple – Place pineapple slices over the ham, securing with toothpicks if needed.
-
Bake & Glaze – Brush glaze generously over ham. Cover loosely with foil and bake for about 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours (10–12 minutes per pound), basting with glaze every 30 minutes.
-
Finish – Remove foil during the last 20 minutes to let the ham caramelize and develop a golden, sticky crust.
-
Serve – Rest ham for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with extra pan juices and garnish with pineapple rings.
