Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

Here’s a delicious Cheese Stuffed Meatballs recipe that’s gooey inside and packed with flavor:


🧀 Cheese Stuffed Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (or a mix of beef & pork)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned works best)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 8–10 cubes mozzarella cheese (or cheddar, provolone, or string cheese pieces)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for searing)

  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meat Mixture:
    In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and milk. Mix until just combined (don’t overmix or meatballs get tough).

  2. Form Meatballs:
    Take about 2 tbsp of meat mixture, flatten it in your hand, place a cheese cube in the center, and wrap the meat around it, sealing tightly. Roll into a smooth ball. Repeat with remaining meat and cheese.

  3. Sear Meatballs:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs and sear on all sides until browned (about 5–7 minutes).

  4. Simmer in Sauce:
    Pour marinara sauce into the skillet (or transfer meatballs to a baking dish and pour sauce over). Cover and let simmer on low for 15–20 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through and cheese inside is melted.

  5. Serve & Enjoy:
    Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley. Serve over spaghetti, in a sub roll, or with crusty garlic bread.
