Fried Donuts Recipe
Ingredients (Makes ~12 donuts)

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¼ cup sugar

2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast

¾ cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C)

2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1 large egg

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Sugar or cinnamon sugar for coating
Instructions

Make the dough

In a large bowl, whisk warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 min until foamy.

Add egg, butter, and salt; mix well.

Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Knead & rise

Knead dough for 6–8 min until smooth and elastic (by hand or mixer).

Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1–2 hours until doubled.

Shape the donuts

Punch down dough. Roll out to ½-inch thick.

Cut with a donut cutter (or round cutter + smaller cutter for center).
