🍌 Banana Pudding Lush Recipe

🧾 Ingredients

Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups crushed vanilla wafers (about 40 cookies)

  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)

Banana Pudding Layer:

  • 2 (3.4 oz) packages instant banana cream pudding mix

  • 3 cups cold milk

Topping:

  • 2 cups whipped topping

  • Sliced bananas (2-3 ripe, firm bananas)

  • Crushed vanilla wafers or whole wafers for garnish

🥣 Instructions

  1. Make the Crust:

    • Mix crushed vanilla wafers with melted butter until evenly combined.

    • Press mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form a crust.

    • Chill in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes to set.

  2. Cream Cheese Layer:

    • In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

    • Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.

    • Spread evenly over the chilled crust.

  3. Banana Pudding Layer:

    • Whisk together the pudding mixes and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.

    • Spread pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.

  4. Top It Off:

    • Arrange sliced bananas over the pudding layer.

    • Spread remaining whipped topping over the bananas.

  5. Garnish:

    • Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top, or decorate with whole wafers.

    • Optional: drizzle with caramel sauce or white chocolate shavings for extra flair.

  6. Chill:

    • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) to let the layers set and flavors meld.

💡 Tips

  • To prevent bananas from browning, you can lightly brush them with lemon juice.

  • Make it ahead—a perfect next-day dessert!

  • Swap banana pudding for vanilla if you want a more subtle banana flavor.

Let me know if you’d like a printable version or a variation (like adding peanut butter or using a graham cracker crust).
