Here’s a simple and delicious Vanilla Butter Biscuits recipe—perfect for tea time or a sweet snack:


Vanilla Butter Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Optional: extra sugar for sprinkling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.

  4. Sift in flour and salt, then mix until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.

  5. Scoop or roll dough into small balls (about 1 inch/2.5 cm) and place on the baking sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork or the bottom of a glass.

  6. Optional: Sprinkle a little sugar on top for extra crunch.

  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the edges are just golden.

  8. Cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
